Metro Supply Chain Group, a North American leader in end-to-end supply chain solutions, adds a new U.S. site to its fulfillment network, allowing it to serve over 98% of customers with two-day deliveries. The new 100,701 square-foot Class A warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri, operated by National Fulfillment Services, a Pennsylvania-based subsidiary of Metro Supply Chain Group, will offer expedited shipping solutions to its e-commerce customers from strategically located distribution points. UPS is set to expand its facilities at the Memphis International Airport in Tennessee, a $216 million project the Airport Authority greenlighted late last week, according to multiple reports. The expansion, which marks the sixth amendment in the 23-year-old lease agreement, adds 1.1 million square feet of land to the 5.9 million square feet it already leases from the airport.
