SBB Cargo stands for sustainable freight transport by rail. With almost a quarter of total freight traffic, we are number one in Swiss freight traffic. We employ around 3,000 people and have more than 7,000 freight cars and around 500 traction units. Thanks to a consistent focus on the strengths of rail, SBB Cargo achieved a positive result of CHF 14.7 million in 2013, with sales of CHF 953 million for the first time in more than 40 years.
