Roll Group awarded Total contract

Across seven voyages Roll Group will transport the structures from Hamriyah, UAE to Port Arthur in Texas, USA. The company’s scope of work also includes the land transport of the modules. Due to the size of the modules, the BigRoll module carriers will be utilised on two of the voyages, while the other structures will be transported using vessels from RollDock’s fleet. Wiebe Broeksma, Roll Group project manager, explained: “When unloading the BigRoll vessels in Port Arthur, the intermediate transport will be arranged by our sister company Roll-Lift USA.”The first sailing will take place in the coming weeks; the remaining transports will be completed between April and August 2019.
