New Smart Glasses Solution Designed to Increase Efficiency for Logistics Warehouse Operators

The latest in a line of products designed to speed up and augment supply chain efficiency within a warehouse environment comes with the news that Toshiba has announced the arrival of its latest enhanced 'Assisted Reality' smart glass solution, xPick, a 'pick-by-vision' order picking capability designed to improve workflow efficiencies within the warehousing and logistics sector.
Earlier this year, Toshiba’s Client Solutions Division (CSD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, unveiled its completely wearable Augmented Reality (AR) solution to combine the power of a Windows 10 Pro PC with the robust feature set of industrial-grade smart glasses. Toshiba’s dynaEdge AR Smart Glasses system packages together separate components which together will provide a solution for many clients including pick and pack operations. The company’s new dynaEdge AR100 Head Mounted Display (HMD) is now twinned with its dynaEdge DE-100 Mobile Mini PC which it claims gives a completely wearable personal computer system which maximizes mobility, productivity, and security without compromising flexibility. The new solution will be available across Europe from this month.
