Imperial continues working for BMW
transportjournal | January 08, 2018
Imperial Logistics International has once again won the BMW contract for outsourcing and intermodal services in Bavaria (Germany), for another six years. On 1 January, Imperial began handling traffic between the BMW Group’s plants in Munich, Landshut, Dingolfing, Regensburg, Wackersdorf and their external warehouses in a three-shift operation involving some 200 vehicles (mega-trailers and articulated trains). The contract foresees the transport of car body and engine parts manufactured at central production plants to other factories for assembly. Imperial Logistics International's service portfolio is split into two divisions. All the group's transport services are pooled in its shipping, road and express freight business units in the Imperial Transport Solutions division. The Imperial Supply Chain Solutions division encompasses all the services in the contract logistics and warehousing sectors for the automotive, industrial, retail and consumer goods, and chemicals business units.
