Hannover orders more TW 3000 LRVs

HANNOVER transport authority Üstra has exercised an option for 46 additional TW 3000 LRVs from a consortium of Kiepe Electric and Alstom.In 2011 Üstra placed an initial €126m order for 50 of the high-floor bi-directional vehicles with two options for a total of 96 additional units. The first option for 50 vehicles was exercised in November 2013.The first TW 3000s entered service in March 2014 and the vehicles are now used on lines 3, 4 and 7.
