One of the leading autonomous middle mile logistics companies, Gatik, announced a multi-year commercial collaboration with Kroger to transport customer orders within the Dallas distribution network of Kroger. This collaboration will allow Kroger to use Gatik's autonomous box trucks to improve delivery frequency, reliability, and responsiveness.

Under the terms of the agreement, Gatik's autonomous medium-duty box trucks will transport fresh, customer-favorite products from a Kroger Customer Fulfillment Center (CFC) in Dallas, Texas, to multiple retail locations. Gatik's industry-leading autonomous trucks would be equipped with a 20' foot box that can transport ambient, refrigerated, and frozen goods quickly, safely, and efficiently. Gatik's autonomous middle mile solution will assist Kroger in meeting customers' immediate needs, regardless of whether they shop online or in-store, by granting unprecedented access to goods.

In addition, the collaboration also includes consistent, repeated delivery runs multiple times per day throughout the week across Kroger's Dallas distribution network, and it benefits Kroger's customers with the advantages of autonomous delivery, including improved speed and responsiveness in the fulfillment of e-commerce orders, decreased costs, and dedicated capacity along the middle mile of the supply chain. The operations will begin in the second quarter of 2023.

Gatik has delivered around 500,000 customer orders using its commercial-grade autonomous technology to transport middle-mile freight safely and efficiently. It provides Autonomous Transportation as a Service (ATaaS) daily to customers in multiple markets, including Arkansas and Ontario. In addition, it is intensifying its commercial presence in Texas to meet rapidly growing customer demand.
