Flexport Launches the Flexport App on Shopify to Meet the Global Trade Needs

Flexport Launches the Flexport App

Flexport, one of the global leaders in supply chain technology, recently announced its launch of the Flexport App on Shopify. The app is a one-stop, integrated solution to meet small-and-medium-sized business (SMBs) global trade needs. The flagship app is the first step in a strategic partnership between Flexport and Shopify to give small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) the tools and technology they need to grow their businesses worldwide.

Millions of merchants can now quote, track, book, and ship products to the United States, with added port coverage later this year through the Flexport App's availability on the Shopify App store. Merchants can easily connect their Shopify store's product library, see inventory in transit down to the SKU level, and choose the right ocean freight shipping solution for their business. The solution includes Less-than-Container-Load (LCL) and Full-Container-Load (FCL) services, customs clearance, and better cargo protection. Merchants will additionally receive access to real-time cost estimates and the power to leverage enterprise-grade reporting and analytics to avoid common barriers to freight forwarding.

The combination of the Shopify merchant platform and Flexport's logistics expertise helps to simplify end-to-end supply chain management with the designed technology. Through Flexport's Series E funding round in 2022, Shopify became a strategic investor. Shopify and Flexport have built a strategic relationship and a shared vision to build an integrated supply chain network for Shopify merchants, from industrial units to customer access.

Now, Flexport helps businesses like Parade, Bombas, and Cotopaxi, which are quickly growing worldwide with technology and freight services. In December, Flexport hired Parisa Sadrzadeh as Senior Vice President of SMB Product and Technology. Her job is to lead the company's newly created business organization and speed up its efforts to build logistics technology and products for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
