E2open Positioned Again as a Leader in 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Multienterprise Supply Chain Business Networks Report
For the second year in a row, Gartner has put E2open, a leading network-based provider of 100% cloud-based, mission-critical, end-to-end supply chain management software, in the Leaders quadrant with the highest potential to perform and completeness of vision in its 2021 Magic Quadrant for Multienterprise Supply Chain Business Networks.
“Globalization and outsourcing have transformed industries, making them more competitive to deliver goods to market, but also more challenging and vulnerable to disruption,” said Michael Farlekas, president and CEO of E2open. “The bulk of operation – and business risk – now occurs outside the enterprise in several layers of upstream and downstream partners, with goods often crossing multiple territories before reaching consumers.”
“These complex interdependencies across external parties require a new networked process of planning, optimizing, executing, collaborating, and orchestrating through all levels of partners,” Farlekas continues. “As a result, better business results are achieved, with decisions reflecting the actual realities of the whole end-to-end supply chain rather than isolated segments. We are delighted that Gartner has named E2open a Leader in this space.”
We believe that to be considered a multi-enterprise supply chain business network in this Magic Quadrant, vendors must have a cohesive ecosystem that blends a network, applications, and artificial intelligence (AI). E2open provides a network that serves all four network ecosystems (demand, supply, logistics, and foreign trade), as well as a wide suite of supply chain management applications and field-proven AI to make sense of massive amounts of high-frequency data and simplify decisions. The platform's inherent partnership generates mutual value for brand owners and partners alike, fostering a safe ecosystem that can better capture market potential and survive disruption.
“To deliver products to market, agile and resilient supply chains require a new way of thinking – one that helps businesses to turn themselves into orchestrators of global processes through an ecosystem of partners spanning demand, supply, logistics, and global trade,” said Pawan Joshi, executive vice president of product management and strategy at E2open.“For more than a decade, E2open has been a leader in this field – our network infrastructure combines visibility, process orchestration, and decision making to see what is happening in real-time, understand the business impact of changes at every stage of the process, analyze and take corrective steps, track execution, and allow continuous learning. Multi-enterprise networks provide instant benefit to businesses at every point of their supply chain journey and are key features of digital transformation.”
