Airspace Awarded Patent for its Revolutionary Logistics Management System
Airspace | March 18, 2021
The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted a U.S. patent to the Airspace’s logistics management system as of March 2. The granted patent covers computer programming, method, system, and graphical representation mentioned in the system.
The co-founder and CTO of Airspace, Ryan Rusnak says “This technology is a game-changer for the industries like logistics and supply chain.” He also adds, “the transparency this technology gives creates confidence and trust in the minds of both, receivers and shippers.”
The Airspace is a system that calculates the fastest route to the destination in a matter of milliseconds opposed to the current technology that takes up to 30 minutes for finding out an optimal route for the shipment. This enhancement brings a greater relief for the time-critical industries like shipping and supply chain, as it lowers the time taken for best route finding by ten times. Airspace can also generate time and space expectations so that even if the expected flight gets cancelled, the software then immediately creates a new flight plan and keeps a track.
Airspace offers automated real-time notification to the shipper as well as the customers receiving the package, giving and efficient substitute for personal calls and generating leading indicators rather than lagging ones. The logistical challenges are difficult to encounter as most of the shipments start from an arbitrary place like labs, storage centres, warehouses, hospitals, etc. instead of starting directly from airport. This technology can also help in delivering the COVID vaccines to all parts of the world within time.
Nick Bulcao, Co-founder and CEO of Airspace states, “You set the shipment up for the failure if you select the optimum route for your driver. Create too conservative course and you risk losing the last flight that gets the package there when it’s required” while announcing the patent. He adds, “This is an extremely complex optimization challenge that only Airspace can provide a solution to, utilizing our proprietary software and highly-advanced artificial intelligence. We are very proud of our inventors and are pleased with our technology that is really making a difference.”
Airspace has just finished up Series C funding round, while continuously analysing the data to address the current needs of logistics and supply chain industries and providing the best user experience for clients. The technology has now focused on global expansion by blending operations and R&D for the benefit of the industry.
