GE 2014 Annual Report

October 14, 2014

Companies and leadership teams go through cycles. Sometimes companies play it safe, defend the status quo or manage momentum. Not GE. We have the ambition to lead the next generation of industrial progress. So we have been profoundly changing our company. We have reshaped the portfolio from a broad conglomerate to a more focused infrastructure leader and took important steps in that pivot last year. We invested in enterprise capability that allows GE to win in a volatile world. We lead the merger of machines and analytics through the Industrial Internet to drive new levels of productivity. We positioned our businesses to achieve superior customer outcomes. And, we ran the Company in a simpler, faster and more accountable way. We have rebuilt GE in a volatile economy, one that favors only the most competitive.

Enterprise Software Defined Block and Object Storage- Built for Change Fujitsu Storage ETERNUS DSP series

whitePaper | January 17, 2023

In architecting the ETERNUS DSP series the fundamental goal was to provide customers the ability to autonomously adapt and compose the infrastructure to precise application needs, via the unique ability to concurrently and seamlessly manage heterogeneous hardware and media, present or future, unlike any other storage system in the market. We enable customers the ability to “live” change the system in response to both failures, and more importantly, events that improve the applications that ETERNUS DSP series is supporting. Enterprise storage software must strike a balance between delivering availability, performance and scalability along with data agility and developer velocity. This white paper describes the choices, advantages and trade-offs we made in delivering the attributes of Enterprise Storage while revolutionizing the ability to scale, manage and change the system.

Whitepaper Supply chain reinvention

whitePaper | February 15, 2022

Before COVID-19, global supply chains ticked a lot of boxes: lower labor and operating costs, wider product ranges and greater reach to new markets. But the vulnerabilities and visible failures of global supply chains during COVID-19 were there for all to see. Lead times expanded exponentially. Manufacturing capacity stalled. Ports became congested. Transportation ground to a halt. Excessive reliance on one location or one supplier caused a domino effect of expensive downtime along the line.

The Intelligent Enterprise for Cargo Companies

whitePaper | November 22, 2019

The vision and industry initiatives working toward what is known as the “physical Internet” started with the concept of transforming the transportation industry operating model into an open logistics system, where goods in the supply chain flow as freely and cost-effectively as data across the Internet. Regardless of whether the vision is realized completely or only partially, global supply chains will continue to evolve toward synchronizing all aspects of supply and demand, from shipments to capacity.
