Institute for Supply Management - Carolinas-Virginia
Founded in 1920 as a professional purchasing association, ISM-Carolinas-Virginia (ISM-CV) is the largest regional supply management and procurement organization in the southeastern United States, and is committed to the ongoing growth and improvement of the profession and our members. Its mission and goals include: Advancement of the profession through education in the fundamentals of production and marketing, effective methods and practices, commodities and their uses, and sources of supply and distribution. Cooperation toward the elimination of trade abuses. Collection and dissemination of beneficial information through trade publications, lectures, conventions and plant visits. Encouragement of amicable and productive relationships among industry professionals resulting in a positive environment for the exchange of ideas. Promotion of supply management and procurement as a profession in such a way as to obtain merited recognition.
