Rockford MRO Foam Test

With great anticipation the full foam test day arrived for the new Chicago Rockford International Airport’s new MRO facility. There were two wildly successful tests, one for each hangar bay. Each hangar bay is 100,000 square feet with a roof height of over 10 stories. Test parameters allowed three minutes to flow foam to a depth of three feet over the entire hangar floor space. Hangar one accomplished this in 1:45 minutes and Hangar two in 2:01 minutes. The second test was attended by local authorities, investors, participating craftsmen and the public. All televisions station and print media were in attendance. Absolute Fire Protection, Inc. is proud of its entire team who seemed to be reinventing the wheel at every turn but in the end got the job done on time and in budget.
