Albert Heijn makes orange juice chain transparent with blockchain
Albert Heijn customers will soon be able to follow in detail the route that a bottle of orange juice has taken from production to their shopping cart. The supermarket chain wants to meet the increased demand from customers for more chain transparency on products and to estimate how they were produced. Blockchain technology, known from the bitcoin, can be used when recording data in a database. With this project, Albert Heijn wants to meet the increasing demand from customers for more chain transparency of the products they purchase.
