Cross-border business is continuing to increase, with 2018 seeing both historic levels and growing issues within the shipping industry, particularly with northbound business from Mexico. However, as manufacturing remains strong and business continues to grow, complexities are also heightened due to the current political climate. In addition, a significant imbalance exists, with seven trucks heading north from Mexico to the U.S. for every one truck moving south.
