Unifeeder Chooses DP World's London Gateway Port for New Polish Feeder Service

London's newest deep water port, DP World's London Gateway is best known for its deep sea connections having the ability to work on the largest of box ships. The latest generation of these vessels however mean even more work for the smaller class TEU feeder vessels and now the Unifeeder fleet is to begin a service running to and from the port to link it with Gydnia, located on Poland's Baltic coast. The choice however is hardly surprising, DP World invested €660 million in purchasing Unifeeder in August 2018, a deal finalised just last month, but the strategy to open a direct shuttle link of this type conforms to the two operations' intent to expand their logistics interests and general trade growth and ensure a steady flow of cargo to the UK via multiple points of entry, no matter the consequences of Brexit.
