Powering formula e with multimodal freight

In 2015, DHL was tasked with transporting 40 fully-electric racing cars to Beijing for the second season of the FIA Formula E Championship. Speed, security, reliability and efficiency are essential to how we deliver Formula E’s full main freight load across continents to the starting line Transporting Formula E cars can be challenging. DHL takes utmost care to ensure the safety of all electric vehicle components, particularly the cars’ Rechargeable Energy Storage Systems (RESS) which can prove volatile if mishandled.
